We did what any photographers family would do at the holidays. We took a new family portrait. 2008 was a busy year for the Pfeifer family as we added Rachel, my new sister-in-law, and Izzy my new niece. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a Happy and Successful New Year.

Jason's First Hunting Success of 2008
So my husband is becoming quite the outdoorsman! He got his first buck with his bow this morning and he is so excited. He called me early this morning asking where I was as he tried to catch his breathe. I knew he had gotten his deer. Jason quickly asked me to come down with my camera, so I crawled out of bed, threw on some clothes and grabbed my camera. Once I got there he was grinning from ear to ear. It's now 12:30pm and he still isn't home. I would imagine Jason and his dad are doing hunterly man stuff. haha!

Our Last Day on Oahu
This was our last day. We went beach hopping again! The top image is a merged photo of Pali Lookout and the bottom image is of the rocky cove we snorkeled in. It was so great! What a refreshing trip! I hope to go back again someday and I will be working on a slideshow to post here on the blog for everyone to see. There are so many to choose from!

Traci's Tea Party
On Saturday Bryce's Aunties threw Traci a surprise Bridal party at a tea room in downtown honolulu. It was so fun and Traci was surprised. We were all asked to wear big hats a boas while we ate our tiny sandwiches and pastries. The tea was really good too! As for today Jason and I hit the beach for the morning, grabbed some lunch and now we are relaxing before we go to the wedding reception this afternoon. Oh and we went shopping in the international market. This area is filled with local vendors selling their goodies and we found lots of great things to bring back!

One of our friends tried to Cwalk and almost fell over. Luckily the he ran into the ropes. HAHA! The Hilton displayed some nice fireworks and the mai tais were so yummy! Well we hiked up Diamond Head yesterday and it was worth the pain in the legs! Hawaii is amazing and I couldn't ever imagine leaving! It's truly awesome! Our flight was long and it took all day to get here, but now we are just relaxing today and hitting the beach. Jason is golfing at the country club with Bryce and his dad. Us girls are going to bake on the warm sand and get some lunch. Tonight is a cruise on Waikiki and fireworks from the Hilton. So keep posted! I will be uploading images throughout the week!

Humphrey's Q125
My hometown recently celebrated their 125th birthday over the 4th of July weekend. It was quite the event! I was fortunate enough to be asked to design a series of logos for the event and it was everywhere all over the town! It was really cool see people sporting the tshirts and koozies all weekend! There were banners out on the highway and in the park. It was great! Then we participated in a parade with the two businesses sharing a float. It wasn't the most beautiful float, but it served it's purpose! Then I ran my first 2 mile run since my freshman year in high school! It was a gorgeous morning and I finished without stopping or walking!! All in all it was a great weekend. For more photos visit either Myspace.com or Facebook.com! Hope everyone had a great and safe holiday!

Craig and Sara
Craig and Sara had such a beautiful day for their wedding! It was picture perfect for them! You never know with a Nebraska wedding in the summer, but the temps cooled and a light breeze came in! They were such a fun couple and they love to laugh! So my job was easy! The ceremony took place in a small country church and the reception was out at Craig's farm!

Dan and Rachel's Wedding
New Division
I am going back to the classics! I was completely inspired by my cousins on June 6th, 2008. Their mother, Paula Wemhoff had passed away suddenly on June 4th and this family pulled through the hardest time in their lives. As I was listening to the priest at her wake, he asked the question, "Where do you pull your strength?" This family pulls their strength from their faith. They know that their mom will be taken care of and they know they must be strong for their dad. So about an hour before the wake the four kids came in to have a session done for their dad for Father's Day. They pulled through without any hesitation and gave the biggest smiles and I had a lot of fun with them. Being as amazing as they are, they knew how important a photograph was. These images will remain forever and captures their spirit. So I am starting a division of classic emotion photography. It's a simple session in timeless clothes and great expresssions and interactions. If are interested please let me know. A percentage of the sales will go to the Ron Wemhoff family.

Another day in Humphrey! It's such a great small town and you can get pretty much anything you need right here on Main Street! I went up to grab the mail and in walks my Grandma Dorothy. I was going to head up to her house to drop it for her, but we ended up visiting for quite a while! Then I headed down to our local grocery store to pick up some of their famous homemade bread and brats to take back home to Omaha tonight! Jason will love it! There is something so relaxing about this town. It's quiet and everyone knows everyone. It's a great escape everytime I come back! So I am currently working on our Special Edition sessions for the upcoming year, so stay tuned and check your mail for the next special! There may be water involved!!
